ARCHBISHOP YIMAM ORKWAR

General Overseer

One can rightly say that Archbishop Yimam Orkwar is a born leader. He has the natural ability to excel wherever he is and in whatever he is doing. This is because he is given to commitment and diligence at all times. There is no half measure where he is concerned, to him anything worth doing is worth doing well.

He was consecrated a Bishop in December 2000. This saw him handling higher responsibilities in the Ministry. They include; Regional Overseer, Benue Region, 1999-2005, National Overseer-Faith Centre Churches 2004-2005, Vice Chairman-Council of Elders 2000-2007. Vice Chairman, ANEM SYNOD 2000-2007, Vice President International Communion for World Mission (ICWM) 2004-2007. He was not the only believer in the church but that excellent spirit in him made him stand out. He was also commissioned a chaplain in 2006 by IIPEC.

He also held the position of Director of Administration from October, 2005 to December, 2007.

Yimam Orkwar was made the Archbishop of ANEM on 3rd December, 2007 by the Council of Elders after the death of the founder Archbishop Pius G. Dyegeh in July 2007. As the Archbishop, he became the Chairman of the ANEM Council of Elders, and President of ICWM.
